Meet The Inventor: Dr. Dale Fisher
Fisher Putters were developed by Dr. Dale Fisher in the early 90’s because he determined through various testing that the existing putter surfaces were too hard which caused inconsistency in speed and direction. Through trial and error, Dr. Fisher created the patented Kevflex insert which was USGA approved and set the standard by the USGA for softness of a putter face. A thesis study conducted at California Poly Pomona by Professor Edward Gates conclusively proved Fisher Putters outperformed all leading putters on the market.
Dr. Dale Fisher has had several professional golfers use the putter on various tours. The first success story was R.W. Eaks who says "The Fisher Putter changed my life!" After years of play on the PGA and Champions Tour without a win, R.W. Eaks won 4 times once he began using a Fisher Putter. To this day R. W. Eaks remains a loyal Fisher Fan. In 2025 several putters have been built for various professionals across multiple tours. Bryson, V.J. Funk, Jacobson, and in total over 10 active playing professionals have all had putters built to their specs. Many have put a Fisher Putter in play including Champions tour players Gorde Burns, Tag Ridings, and most recently Tom Lehman.
